Arbor — Urban Organic Workplace

Tempe, Arizona, United States
Project completed while working at George Oliver

Arbor is a next-generation workplace designed to redefine the relationship between work, wellbeing, and community. Located in the heart of Downtown Tempe, the project reimagines the traditional office model as a natural, hospitality-inspired environment that prioritizes human experience, comfort, and connection.

Developed under the design direction of George Oliver, Arbor was conceived as an urban organic workspace. Indoor-outdoor environments, lush vegetation, and warm materiality are integrated throughout the project to create a calming, garden-like atmosphere that encourages creativity, focus, and balance.

Arbor is a workplace campus created through the adaptive reuse of five existing buildings organized around a central courtyard in Tempe. The project focused on redevelopment and renovation permits to transform the site into a cohesive campus environment rather than introducing new construction.

Designed under the direction of George Oliver Design, the project embraces a strong nature-driven design approach through the use of greenery and wood throughout the campus.

In parallel, multiple tenant improvement permits were developed for office and commercial spaces across the site, allowing flexible tenant layouts while maintaining a consistent architectural and interior design language.

I was involved from schematic design through construction documents and construction administration, contributing to space planning, design development, detailing, and permit documentation under the supervision of the licensed architect.
